New Charter School - Delaware
Academy of Public Safety and Security (DAPSS)
The Delaware Academy for Public Safety and Security will prepare cadets to
work in all simple and complex facets of Homeland Security. It is to open in
2010, teaching skills for job placement in many specialist fields as a First
Responder including police men and women, emergency response operators and
units, fire fighting, and many more. The academy is the first of its kind in

At present there are no truly safe non-motorized crossings of the
Chesapeake & Delaware Canal, creating a huge impediment to connecting
Delaware’s networks of safe routes for bicycles. Fatalities have been

Bridge and the St. Georges Bridge in its current lane configuration. The
