Green Dental Practice breaking ground just over the line in PA
For more than
50 years, Dental Health Care Associates has been serving families throughout
the Delaware County community. Dr. Lance Panarello and Dr. Jordan Grant
offer all facets of general, cosmetic, and implant dentistry. Over the past
two years, this renowned and respected practice underwent a major
renovation, enhancing their ability to care for patients and the
environment. What began during a lunch conversation about marketing between
Dr. Lance and Dr. Jordan to explore going green because they thought it
would be beneficial to be ahead of what they perceived to be the new thing
soon became their underlying philosophy. As in all endeavours throughout the
history of the practice to provide the best in patient care they started
researching the best way to incorporate, recycled, sustainable and organic
aspects into the renovations of the existing office.

When I heard
about Dental Health Care Associates “the Green Dental Practice" from a
colleague I was intrigued so I contacted them and asked if I could come take
a tour and learn firsthand about what made them “Green.” Quite frankly I had
no idea what to expect and being the poster child of "Terrified of the
Dentist" was in some ways reluctant to make the trip to Pennsylvania.
The first pleasant surprise was

Sun and
Earth, a local company based in King of Prussia, has been a leader in
making strong, effective and environmentally safe cleaning products for
more than 20 years. I had the opportunity to speak to President John
Mullins recently who told me that the company originally began after
many years of watching advertisements claiming that petro-chemicals with
mysterious names were the best way to clean house.
The
founders of Sun and Earth set out to prove that non-toxic cleaners can
clean as well or better than more well-known national brands. They knew
people wanted products made with non-toxic ingredients that didn't
sacrifice performance. After extensive research, they developed
cleaners made from coconut and orange oils that clean and shine
beautifully and have an appealing fresh citrus scent.
Sun and Earth has also always had a very personal social mission to
provide jobs with livable wages and benefits for people from distressed
areas. As President John Mullins, the driving force behind the company
for past 18 years explained to me yesterday their focus has always been
two fold. To provide superior products and to give back to the
community.
They were ahead of the curve when they began

Adrienne Young at
West Grove Friends Meetinghouse
Saturday April 24, 2010
Turtledove
Folk Club welcomes Adrienne Young to the West Grove Friends Meetinghouse
this month. Adrienne's passion for the land and belief that we are all
interconnected makes this the perfect concert for celebrating Earth Day.

A
seventh-generation Floridian, raised on the land farmed by her family
generations earlier, Adrienne Young graduated magna cum laude from Belmont
University in Nashville with a Music Business/Spanish degree. Endless and
unfulfilling clerical jobs along Music Row motivated this triple-threat
singer, writer and multi-instrumentalist to start her own record label,
Addiebelle Music.
